Food Cost Guide

About

One person, one focused tool

Hi — I'm Jean-Luc, a dude who loves building and creating, and I design, build, and maintain Food Cost Guide on my own. It isn't a venture-backed platform or a side project of a bigger company — it's one tool, made carefully, by the person who also answers the support email. You can see other work of mine at jeanluc-williams.com.

Why it exists

My partner works in the restaurant industry and had to set all of this up herself — the vendor price list, the recipe costing, the spreadsheet that never quite stays current. I built Food Cost Guide to make managing the store easier for her, and put it online in case it helps other people doing the same job.

How it's run

The core tools are free. There's a paid tier for people who want no ads, teams, branded exports, higher data limits, and multiple locations. The no-account tools keep your data in your own browser — nothing is uploaded — and if they save you time, you can support the project on Ko-fi.

Changes to the site and the app are logged publicly on the changelog. If something's broken or missing, the contact page reaches me directly.

The free tier shows ads from Google AdSense, which may set its own cookies -- see our Privacy Policy. Subscribing to Pro removes ads (and this data sharing) entirely.
